Terms of use
- Article 1 (Purpose)
- The purpose of these terms is to determine the terms, and process of use and other necessities for the website service K-culture (written as ‘company’ hereafter) provides.
- Article 2 (Effects and changes of the clause)

- 1. These terms are activated after the users are notified.
- 2. The content of the terms are posted on the website and any changes will be announced online.
- 3. The company can make changes to the terms when deemed necessary and the changes become effective as written in 1.
- Article 3 (Application of the terms and regulations)

- 1. The rules of use and other terms the company provide apply to these terms.
- 2. Related laws that aren’t written in this document are effective as well.
- Article 4 (Definition)
- The definitions of the words used in this document are as following.

- 1. “Users” are individuals or organizations that access the website to receive the services the “website” provides according to the written terms.
- 2. “Signing up” is providing the required information and agreeing to the terms to complete the contract of use.
- 3. “Members” are individuals or corporate bodies who sign up to the “website by providing personal or corporate information and receive the website’s information and use the services on a consistent basis.
- 4. “ID” is a combination of letters and numbers that the members request and the company approves in order for the members to be recognized and use the services.
- 5. “Password” is a combination of letters and numbers that the members choose in order to confirm its match with the ID and to protect the members’ privacy.
- 6. “Membership cancel” refers to the members ending the use contract.
- 7. Terms that are not defined in this document will be defined in “Other terms and rules of usage for individual services”.
- Article 5 (Member qualification and application)

- 1. Sign up is completed after the users agree to these terms and follow through with the sign up process the company requires.
- 2. The company provides new members with free IDs and the users must sign up with their real names.
- 3. Sign up is completed with the company’s consent with the users’ request to use the services and the users’ agreement with the terms of use.
- 4. After the users sign up and meet all the requirements, the company shows the applicant a page notifying of their membership.
- Article 6 (Withdrawal and disqualification)

- 1. Under the following circumstances, the company retains the right to restrict or freeze membership
- A. Signing up with other people’s personal information.
- B. Summiting the membership application with false information.
- C. The purpose of the usage was to harm the well-being of the society
- D. Actions that interfere with others’ usage of the services and stealing others’ personal information.
- E. Using the services breaking the law or the terms of usage.
- F. Not meeting the qualifications.
- Article 7 (Provision or usage of the services)

- 1. The services will be available 24 hours year round unless there are problems in the company or the technology.
- 2. The company retains the right to stop the services under following circumstances.
- A. When fixing the system
- B. When the telecommunication service provider stops the services
- C. When there are other reasons the company cannot provide the services
- 3. The services the company provides are as following, any changes to the following services will be notified and become active.
- A. Website (Terms of membership)
- B. Any services that the company develops or services provided through arrangements with other companies
- Article 8 (Consent to the usage of members’ information)

- 1. The members’ personal information will be protected by the company’s privacy protection policy.
- 2. The members’ information will be collected, used, administered, and protected as following.
- A. Collection of personal information : The company will collect the information you provide to signing up, information you provide to be active within the community, information you provide to enter various events, and the information you provide to receive ads or prizes.
- B. Use of personal information : The company does now leak the personal information you provide to a third party. However, when requested by the government, requested for the purpose of criminal information, requested by the Korea Internet Safety Commission or by other related government organizations, or you make the information you have provided public yourself, our aforementioned duty not to leak the information does not apply.
- C. Administration of personal information : For the purpose of protecting and administering your personal information, you retain the right to change or delete your personal information any time.
- D. Protection of personal information : Your personal information can only be accessed/changed/deleted by you, and this is protected with your ID and password. Therefore, do not tell your ID and password to others, log out before turning off the computer, close the web browser. (This is necessary to protect your information in public places such as a internet café or a library).
- E. Others : Keep in mind the information you provide in bulletin boards, E-mail, or other methods online can be collected and used by others. Personal information posted online could lead you to a unwanted situation. You have the responsibility to protect your personal information and we are not responsible for results of information leakage you cause.
- 3. The decision to sign up to our services according this document will be considered as consent to collect, use, and provide your personal information.
- Article 9 (Protection of users’ information)

- 1. After completing the sign up, you will be responsible to protect the information you have provided and you are responsible for misuse of your ID and password.
- 2. You are solely responsible for your ID and password and when you discover misuse of your ID and password, you must report it to the company. You will be responsible for all outcomes from not reporting.
- 3. You have to log out after using the website’s services. Leakage of personal information from not logging our properly will not be the company’s fault.
- Article 10 (Providing information and posting ads)

- 1. The company can provide various information to the members by posting it online.
- 2. The company can post ads on channels such as the website and e-mails.
- Article 11 (Copyright of the submitted contents)

- 1. You have the right to your contents submitted to the company.
- 2. The company retains the right to edit, move the posted contents without notifying, and can delete contents without notifying under the following circumstances.
- A. If the posted contents violate the terms of use or are deemed commercial, illegal, inappropriate, and vulgar.
- B. If the contents slander, libel, and defame other members’ or a third-party
- C. If the contents disturb public order or offend public morals.
- D. If the contents are deemed to be linked to criminal activity
- E. If the contents violate a third-party’s copyright or other rights.
- F. Contents posted by cancelled members’
- G. If the posted contents violate related laws
- 3. You have to solely bear all civil and criminal liability that can occur from posting contents that violate others’ copyright.
- Article 12 (The company’s obligation and responsibility)

- 1. The company has ownership and administration of the services
- 2. The company cannot leak, make public, or distribute the members’ personal information without permission, and the information can only be used for service related purposes, and cannot be used for commercial purposes. However, investigations conducted by law enforcement and following the related laws are exceptions.
- Article 13 (Responsibilities of the members)

- 1. The members must follow the rules, instructions and warning that the company notifies and refrain from actions that disturb the company’s business.
- 2. The members cannot conduct any commercial activities using the services that the company provides without permission.
- 3. Members cannot provide the information gained from the company’s services to others by copying, changing, imitating translating, publishing, broadcasting, and other means.
- 4. The members cannot do any on the following
- A. Using other members’ ID
- B. Using the services for criminal purposes
- C. Disturbing public morals and order
- D. Slandering or defaming others
- E. Violating others’ copyright and other rights
- F. Hacking or spreading computer viruses
- G. Sending advertorial information to others
- H. Changing posted information on the website
- I. Any actions that could harm the services stability
- J. Other actions that violate related laws
- Article 14 (Change members’ information)

- 1. If there are changes to members’ personal information (address, email address etc.) they have to notify the company or update online immediately.
- 2. Any responsibilities from not notifying or not changing changes to the personal information go to the members and this could result in freezing or withdrawing membership.
- Article 15 (Deleting posted contents or contents)
- The company can delete any posted contents or contents without notification if they violate the rules or pass the time limit the company sets.
- Article 16 (Membership withdrawal and limiting use)

- 1. If the members wish to cancel membership, they have to notify the company through the services or email 1 day before the date they wish to cancel (If the date of cancellation is a holiday, 2 days before)
- 2. The company can cancel memberships if the members violate this document’s term and do not fix the violation before the assigned time period.
- 3. The company can limit or freeze memberships without notification if the members violate the terms of the contract.
- 4. The company retains the right to freeze and cancel services in response to members’ actions that do not obey the terms or actions that disobey the law.
- Article 17 (Compensation)
- The company is not responsible for damages to the members related to the free services the company provides unless the damages are severe.
- Article 18 (Exemption)

- 1. If the company is forced to stop the services because of circumstances beyond control, the company has no liability for stopping the services.
- 2. The company is immune from responsibility if the use of services is affected because of the members’ imputation.
- 3. The company is exempt from responsibility damages to the members from the information members obtain from the services.
- 4. The company is exempt from responsibilities for the accuracy and trustworthiness of the information from the services.
- 5. The company is exempt from responsibilities for the posted contents or sent contents from the members
- Supplementary provision 1
- (Enforcement date) These terms are enforced starting September 1st.
